    Description

Oliver Typewriter #7, serial number dates it to around 1914. Unlike many Olivers out there, it types! See photos for type sample. The carriage moves slowly and sluggishly while typing, probably needs tension adjustments, but these machines are fun to tinker with. The keys all seem to work and do not show any significant sticking.
I recently replaced the draw cord and the ribbon. Ribbon is cotton, in the correct 5/16" width for this machine. Original spool/ribbon covers are intact.
Cosmetically it is well used and aged, see photos. Sprucing these machines up is a rewarding project, but it looks kind of neat as is. A real time machine from over 100 years ago.
It will be shipped in a heavy duty FedEx box (the machine weighs nearly 30lb) with packing peanuts and bubble wrap.
