    Description

    Visible Laser diode in a sot-18 package. The output power is 15mW min in the 635 to 645 nm range (see downloadable spec sheet). These are visible and the red beam is loud when they are laseing and one shouldn't stare at it no matter how fascinating it is. Laser diodes are current driven devices and must be powered accordingly and well heatsinked. If too much current is applied it will become a dead "dark" emitting device.
